Together they seamlessly integrate an entire cast of characters and create the ambiance of Morocco, Italy and England, making this a wonderful and exciting listening experience.
Sold into slavery by the men who were supposed to kill her, Angelia Gualtiero must now convince the man who purchased her to help her. Lia would do anything to save her little brother from her murderous aunt - even marry a man she knows wants nothing more than to use of her body.
Marcus Renfield Halden, Ninth Duke of Caversham, needs an heir to secure his legacy and the futures of his young sisters from a desperate cousin whom he suspects of targeting him in pursuit of his title and fortune. When he sees a woman running from her guard in a market in Tangier, he is at first captivated by her beauty. After Ren learns her story, he's in awe of her bravery. He then makes Lia an offer she cannot refuse Her brother for an heir.
What neither expected was to fall in love.

WOW!! Caversham's Bride is one of the best love stories I have read all year. It is a definite re read!!! This love story takes you from the docks of Tangiers, Morocco and it its rich Muslim cultures to the backdrop of Genoa, Italy and it's amazing beauty and and people and then to the lively city of London, England and its beautiful countryside. This love story is so rich in different culture and so well written that you feel like you are their with the characters. The love between the 9th Duke Marcus Renfield Halden and the beautiful Italian, lover and wife Angelia Serena Gualtiero aka Kamilah aka Lia was hot erotic and romantic. Ren as he is called arrives in Tangiers and while waiting for his long time friend Prince Harkim in the market area he witness's a young green eye women being hauled through the market on her way to being sold as a slave. Angelia aka Lia or Kamillah has been sold into slavery by her evil aunt the Contessa Zia Claudina who actually told her kidnappers to kill her.The kidnapper knew they could get even more money for a young virgin so they sold her. Ren is immediately attracted to her & can see the fear and distress in her beautiful green eyes he make arrangements to an buy her Ren gets his friend Dr. Ismael Ben Sadir to go with him and Prince Harkim to purchase her.Once Ren has meet Lia she tells him her story of how her aunt has betrayed her an is likely to kill her young brother of 8yrs an there old nurse Maura. Of course the reason being is that there parents have died and left them a fortune. The aunt wants the money. The relationship between Ren an Lia is very believable as Ren has also, suffered betrayal by his cousin Thomas Whitby and his betroth Margaret. He agrees to take her back to Italy to get her brother and their nurse. Lia agrees to marry him an beget an heir. Thus the erotic love story begins. They resolve there problems intelligently. There are no stupid misunderstanding that could have resolved with communication. This is one of the things I loved about this book Ren and Lia build true lasting relationship based on real communication, truth and no coy deceptions. The story moves quickly and has an excellent cast of supporting Characters even the Prince Regent. Ren eventually resolves the problem of his cousin Thomas and he get is just revenge. The only villain that didn't get her comeuppance was Margaret. I think she deserved to be exposed for her part of the betrayal. I don't like it when villains get off Scot free and she does becasue of her fathers relationship with the Prince Regent. I don't want to give away anymore of the story but as you can tell I was really in love with this HR and can't wait to read more by this author Sandy Raven. Well Done!!

Caversham Bride The Caversham Chronicles Book One (Audible Audio Edition) Sandy Raven Dennis Kleinman Victoria J Mayers Books Reviews
I just love true romance, one where we see love take bloom and grow. In these stories, you don't need the dark excitement that other stories offer (not that I don't LURV a sexy, dark novel!). I can't believe this has been sitting, unread, in my for almost three years.
This one is longer than some, but it's not too long. To follow this couple from when they first lay eyes on one another until they get their HEA is winding journey that is a pleasure to take. I especially liked the heroine, who is unapologetically drawn to her husband sexually. It's refreshing from a reader's standpoint and a factor in the growing relationship between the H and h. The H is a lucky man in that regard and he knows and appreciates it.
I started to give this a four star rating because, after all, few books are flawless enough to garner a perfect five-star rating. But as I reflected, I couldn't find anything I didn't enjoy. I know this is one I'll reread several times. And I'll be getting the other installments as soon as I'm done here. Those two things are what seals this five-star classification. ... I'm off to !
You've got to love a well put together and exciting romance that takes place in some very exotic places. The realm of the sheiks, the shores of Naples and the beautiful English countryside. Ms. Raven takes you to all of these and weaves a very intriguing story unlike any I have read before. Usually when he heroine turns up in the land of the shieks it's as a concubine or and part of his harem, not so this one.
Angelia Gualtiero who has been marked for dead by her Aunt is instead sold by her henchmen to a white slaver and sent to the shores of Constantinople to be sold as a slave to the highest bidder. Her foiled escape in the market place brings her to the attention of the Ninth Duke of Caversham who is instantly attracted to her and plots to keep her from the harem and return her to her family.
Once begun the story just gets better and better. As you learn that the Duke needs a bride and an heir immediately. Will it be a lady of the ton or a trained cortisone and a lady of quality? I will tell you no more as it is impossible to relay without spoiling the story. Needless to say, it is a wonderful, sexy and very well thought out tale. I don't think you will want to miss this very different take on the usual story line. It's a must read and a keeper I think you will be glad you took the time to read.
My first book from Sandy Raven and will not be the last. I really like her writing style. The story was captivating, at times a little funny, adventurous and very erotic. I felt that it took a bit too long for the couple to admit to "falling in love" when obviously they were from the beginning.
The love scenes started immediately, then pages and pages of nothing, then one or two quick love scenes, and then nothing. I like a book that you can appreciate the juicy bits every chapter or so. The story goes on for about a years time, which to me was too much.
The end had a lot of action but not the type I would want from a pregnant woman.
Why 4 stars.... because someone gets their hair chopped off . Im just a little vain I guess. Other than that, I loved this book!!! Just wished it had more love scenes. When the next chapter reads " and four weeks later" it has you wondering what the heck happened in those four weeks!!! I want the info please!!
I would highly recommend reading this book as its a fast, action packed, non stop, hot and sexy, happy ending book!!
Heat Scale ON FIRE!!
