It is actually rather difficult to formally review short stories. Probably merits a 3.5 rating.While I found "The Uncertainty Principle" to be a well put-together bit of futuristic science fiction with some interesting descriptive aspects in terms of houses, computer access and youthful rejuvenation, it was actually the "bonus story" called "Shipwreck Charlie" that seemed to have a larger implication.
There was a typo where she "prescribed" to her parents' way of thinking instead of what I expect should have been "subscribed" and more of an error (according to my psychiatrist husband) that ---contrary to what 1st year medical student David stated---hearing voices is not a classic symptom of a personality disorder.
Altogether a lovely second story though about the mystery of life and learning from all members of the earth's "family."

The Uncertainty Principle John Moralee Books Reviews
A short-short with a new twist on a common Sci Fi gimmick. I nice short read on a subject not often addressed in the genre.
I really enjoyed this short eBook. It is a detective story set in a moderately dystopic future. It was good from both the Sci Fi and the mystery standpoint I found the future Moralee created credible and interesting, and the mystery was well plotted. Definitely worth the small investment of money and time- and I'll look for other books by this author, too.
This story has a mixture of sci-fi and old-world policing mixed in together. I really enjoyed the way the author has combined both worlds. It's sad to think though, that such things could happen even in the future. The happy ending would be that it never happens again, but that's just me wishing for something I know will not happen.
It was a short story and I was able to get through relatively quickly, but that's not to say it doesn't keep your interest. It does, and I was rather surprised it ended so soon. There were many directions it could have been taken to. Thank you John Moralee for a wonderful story.
